The wi-fi at the hotel lobby!
Bad cleanliness, the staff doesn't speak english, there was a cut in water supply for 12 hours, etc...
Most of the staff is friendly, and the open roof is great [to be in and to hang your clothing to dry]. The location is good - Dongchen is a less touristy neighborhood and very convenient to catch different bus lines at either end of the hutong. The showers are spacious.
One of the staff members - the dragon lady - was incredibly rude and offered incredibly bad service. The doors are not designed for hostel rooms - where people sleep. So that every time someone closes a door in some room, it resonates through the wall in the room you are in. At times, it is an orchestra of slamming doors. The service in general is not attentive.
Staff was rude, hostel is expensive for what they offer - lobby is dark and unwelcoming. I was not satisfied at all and cancelled my further reservations at this hostel.
Nice location. Some of the hotel staff members are extremely indifferent towards clients. In other words, they are not very polite.
Nothing. The place is very poor and dirty. No internet access. Evry time internet vanishing and very slow speed.
Nice location - we walked everywhere, many shops and places to eat around. Internet provided for us after asking (we had a PC). Liked the design of hostel canteen. many interesting people can be found living there.
During 4 nights we spent there - room was never cleaned, the only put new toilet paper:) It s hard to tell about your problems with the room cause the stuff knows very poor English. And one more: we took a tour from the hostel to the Great Wall- it was nice, lunch was included exept of the drinks which are very overpriced.
Location is good, rooms are good
Staff not very friendly but they speak a fair English
I had a double room in the courtyard which was much nicer than the other available rooms - it had a red wooden beamed ceiling in Chinese style, a great air conditioning unit, and a comfy bed. The shower was excellent, and it was cleaner than most hostels I've stayed at. Very convenient for the train station.
During we were staying at Beijing Saga International Youth Hostel liked so much is location of this hostel. Beijing subway is wery close to it, and famous Wangfujing street about 10 minets from it.
During we were staying at Beijing Saga International Youth Hostel we have som dissapoints: We lived in the room without windows, it is not comfortable, when we made the reservation of the room on your site, there were no information about such rooms in Hostel, that's why we were so upset when got to know that we would live in the room without windows. For some days we asked to change the room but it was without results. We lived in the Hostel for 10 days, during this time only once in 7 days when we asked the cleaning women to clean our room they did it, but didn't change towels.
Great place to stay. Good location and very helpful and friendly staff. A few issues with payment though. I will be returning.
A few issues with payment though.
Best package to visit Great Wall of China!! Staff very kind!
It isn't so well located as we thought.
For the price and to be so close to everything I highly recommend this hotel, we felt very safe walking the little alley it's down, and it felt like a real taste of china. You could stay in a large hotel but you might miss some of the things you see on just the short walk from this hotel to tienemen square or into the shopping district. Really enjoyed it
nof far from metro, bar inside hostel
VERY bad internet (near unusable, work only 25% of time and staff dt do anything in 3 days), staff dt want to help in sightseeing if hostel have his own tours to this sights
Great location. Great choice, I definitely recommend this place. I don't quite understand the bad reviews I read before coming here. I think it's a perfectly fine place to stay, good value for the money.
Some (not crucial) areas of the room were not very clean. The bathroom was not once cleaned during our 1 week stay (we wouldn't have minded cleaning it ourselves, but when backpacking I usually don't carry cleaning equipment!). I can't say this was at all a dealbreaker for us, though.
very nice hotel, not pretensious, but goof breackfust, and very close to center. And this place in very sharmy.
